As the flight crosses westward over the international date line, the direct flight departure from the Dallas / Fort Worth Airport was on Tuesday, 7 July, but the arrival at the Narita airport outside Tokyo was on Wednesday, 8 July.

The first day was oriented around settling into the hotel, making a short walk, and finding something “interesting” to eat.  To tell you the truth, I’m a little apprehensive, but I’ll give it a try.
