Carn Liath

Can Liath along the northeastern coast of Scotland is not a cairn, but when originally excavated that was the original conclusion; thus, it was named as a cairn.

Carn Liath is actually an example of an iron age castle, with a large round tower with surrounding stone buildings. Elsewhere these are called Duns or Broches.
